New Jack

from The Super 8 by Shift

/

about

The Super 8 was an adrenaline-fused collection of eight songs, most of them written spontaneously and with passion and fury. It took two weeks to create the eight songs and only 3 hours to record, yet it still remains as one of the greatest RockLords albums.

After beginning a practice session by improvising the mad and amazing 'Glazing Man', the band then tried their hand at improvising another track. This is the result - a blistering two-and-a-half minute track that utilises the power and the teeth of the band at this early time. It was named 'New Jack' because it reminded Mark of the movie 'New Jack City'.
