A World in Colour

from Y3K: The Beginning by Kerry Logan

about

The "Y3K: The Beginning" album is a conceptual piece about my 'spiritual reset', a prequel of parts one (2014) and two (2016) that tells of the beginning of my faith journey. The final track of the album, the last before we move into Part One of the Y3K journey, is an exploration of how now, after making a decision to walk into the light of faith, now the world is in colour, whereas before it seemed pale. Now I see it more as it should be, whereas before I could not for I lived in a shadow.

This track, of all the ones on this album, was the hardest to piece together. The idea I originally had for it just would not work no matter how much I through at it, and it wasn't until that I received Bob's drum track that I realised I was approaching it all wrong. The instrumental chorus for the track is brutal and inspired directly from Bob's drums, and caused a massive re-write which led me to cut the song into shreds, before gluing back together into this! Good luck me!

lyrics

See how all bends into the light
How all darkness is made light...
See how my all is brought into the light
How my wrongs are put to right...

For as high as the heavens
Are above all the earth
So great His love for all
Far as east is from the west
Our sins are removed from us

Now I end my wandering in the night
I end the grip of death tonight…
Now I fall up into the light
My wrongs are made up into rights…
