Time Now that you’re not around I’ll sit and wait for a sound For you to appear – I know that you’re near Mind I know just where you’re s’posed to be I pray you are looking on me When all’s said and done – what we’ve become Hand I’ve never seen so much of my life With all that was here you would laugh They lifted us high – you shone in each eye Go on Now that the smoke has all cleared We’ll sift the debris for years Keep you in the mind – we’ll still find our stride Hold me I’m not afraid to die I know where I’ll be When you come around Lonely It show’s how much we care As long as you look down We won’t run away

Scared 04:50
When you’re behind the wheel you are possessed You drive not to survive but to impress The limit means shit to you You’ve only got a job to do Do you think you’re going a little to fast when you hear us scream? If we played ‘Scare them witless’, you’d be on the winning team Do you take your life for granted? Can you think while your foot’s planted? One day it will be over and we’ll all breath again But until that day, you’ll drive like it ain’t ever going to end When you’re driving at two hundred, is it you behind the wheel…

Longest Word 05:13
I miss what never was How to come to terms with the loss But when I felt, I wasn’t alone Though my dreams never came home She blows all my mind away When she smiles I hear me say Only she can smile that way I hope that smile’s for me It was the sweetest feel but so black When I pushed it for a word, it just pushed me back I’m pleased to see us grow I just thought I should let you know Washed, now I can resume to be The constant person you would have me to be Still I am webbed up like a Fly again Double one – count it up from ten

Fly 03:30
Saturday afternoon, no peaceful picnics today folks Traditional missile hurled at one of the fleet It’s nothing personal – we’ve just gotta get on with the job We gotta do what we do best Did I piss you off? Are you aware of the buzz? Doesn’t it make you mad? Wish you could fly like us? And in a minute When you think I’ve gone away I’ll be right here… We’ve got our troubles – being spider-meat is bad enough We don’t need you to jump on the bandwagon too Two-legged creatures, you make me sick! Two eyes?! And you’ve got no wings?! You look disgusting – Buzz! Buzz! Take that you fool! Fly! Do you have purpose at all?! Constant buzz drives me insane No six-leg(ged) **** will break me Ah! Shut up, you Fly, shut up!! Black Flag…

Farmer 04:37
The Farmer in the fields The Wife, she makes his meals She doesn’t like the dirt The Wife, she makes him work In the fields stands (the) tall Scarecrow The poor man watch(es) the woman go Knows not of the Scarecrows gleam But spies her caught up in a dream The Farmer’s enemy Is what she went to see Made moments, he made none Hand forced the crow laughs some Don’t leave the field The Farmer casts her out Knows not what she’s about She wanders to the Crow Something that she knows Winter passes into his life He finds the Scarecrow and his wife Crow enjoys Farmers innocence She moans, he runs for the fence Is Farmer dead today? Hoping so, for his sake Will his wife speak again? Now that she’s left the field’s frame? He won’t leave the field

about

The RockLords output up until now had been the improvisational Gypsys, a collection of musicians who met sporadically to jam and record. The album, however, sparked the beginning of a new era for the RockLords. Made up of the Gypsys core, Cynosure was born in Rowan studio during the first months of 1996, taking to the studio before playing live as a band or even before having a name.

This, however, was the start of something new. Studio recording and a higher level of professionalism were now open to them. This album, the first CD release in Hawera and only the second in Taranaki (behind The Nod's "Thirsty Work") would set the stage for many RockLords' releases to come.
