about

Towards the end of recording the album, Engineer Alan Muggeridge asked the band if they any more tracks they’d like to lay down. They already had eight and there was an hour or so left in the day. Mark suggested a small piano riff he’d been working on and, within the hour, the band had written and recorded the entirety of the instrumental “Fraud Relic”, which the band then used as the closer to the album. The song would also be used over the next year to finish their live shows.
