about

We first met this track via a Shocker-made tape demo that was all acoustic and vocal and it wasn't until we looked at it again in the studio that we saw just how much teeth it had. I laid down the rhythm guitars on top of Bob's drums and then we left the song to come back to. It wasn't until we took a mix of the album several months later that we found that Shocker had come in and laid down not only some powerful vocals, but also a huge fat bassline.

The 2015 revamp of the song features a guitar solo by early Cynosure contributor and RockLord, Richard Allen as he gives it the power in needs in the lead department.

lyrics

It's funny how every time I read the morning news
That all I can see is people dead and people in distress

I never said I wouldn't do it
I just said it wasn't fair
Though my actions cause me to loose it
I'm just feeling worse for wear
Print the headlines in blood red

And even on a typical day
There's murder now across the front page
No motives and no reason I could see

They never asked him why he'd do it
Tragedy won't disappear
The people's statements definitely move me
But that still won't stop their tears
Paint the whole town in blood red

Confusing me by the way
Without even stopping to think
And now I see the seven dead
I hear family's scream
And at this time
Another life is taken away
Would you please
Think of something to end all this bloodshed!
